To myself and anyone else living with #sleep disorders like #sleepapnea , look at these notes. these are what happen when you don't use your #cpap machine regularly. You can't pay attention in class. You doze off. Actually, you kind of black out or fade. These are actual notes of mine from Monday. I can't make heads or tails of half of it. I wrote most of this in my sleep. It shows... Kellie, when you're too tired to clean your machine... when you're not feeling cute because you have a tube strapped onto your face
when you just want to feel normal... just remember, this happens when you don't use the cpap. you're not 100%. You feel like shit. you look like shit. but you're not shit because you have to use it.
In my quest to share the my real #weightlossjourney I’m posting this quick video in the hopes that it will make me commit to doing what I know I can do if I put my all into it. I’m done. I want to live my life. I’m tired, I’m sick, and I’m probably closer to dying than I realize. Something has got to change. I don’t want to do #bariatricsurgery surgery but maybe that’s my only hope. Need to really put my all in this. Make it my obsession. This is getting down to life or death now, for me it is. It may sound drastic but with #sleepapnea and #GERD , I have a fear that I’ll die in my sleep by not breathing/choking. I want to live. So I’m ready to do my part. Eat right and stop looking for every and any excuse to fall of the wagon. Because if I continue to fall I might not ever get back up again and that petrifies me. Yes this may seem dramatic to some but it’s a real concern. It really is all or nothing for me.
Food. It fuels our bodies. Here’s mine for today.
1. Post workout: Cafe Latte shake.
2. Breakfast: HB egg with mustard, s&p, smoked paprika. Grapes.
3. Lunch: Spinach salad with tomato, deli turkey, cheese. Balsamic vinegar dressing.
4. Dinner: Leftovers.
Simple. Not complicated. A little planning and prep and you’re golden.

That's right, 10 more days until reconstructive jaw surgery! Here is my jaw at rest, because I've gotten so used to having to hold it forward.
Some mild anxiety is kicking in because it's a major operation, but the payoff will be worth it all. Goodbye headaches, goodbye ear pain, goodbye breathing issues, goodbye dysphagia! I can't even begin to imagine the increase in quality of life.
They're raising my upper jaw 4mm and widening it, advancing the lower jaw by 12mm, and genioplasty. It'll be crazy to see what I look like after 🤤
I haven’t shared about this and I feel it’s time to share with those who follow me an honest update on my journey. I have struggled with my sleep the last couple of years and have tried several sleep aids. This year it has become even worse and I have constantly woke up with a headache, chronic fatigue, forgetfulness , irritability, etc....it’s kind of hard running a household, homeschooling, and running an international PCOS Academy when I have not been my best self. After getting a referral from my doctor, I conducted a sleep study and the results were a bit scary and I have been diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea. Today, I was fitted for a mask that I will begin using in November and I will GLADLY use it if it can improve my quality of life. I will continue to keep you updated on my journey (including sleep apnea) in the near future.
Do you have sleep apnea? What has been your experience? 😴
