The key to teaching a successful recall? After you've solidified the cue at home, and you're ready to work on it outdoors, let your dog go right back to playing after you call him to you. If after every time you tell your dog to come and then you leave the park or do something not fun, your dog will quickly learn that ignoring you is way more rewarding.
