Never underestimate the power of people.
Day 2: Woke up early today to catch our 10am boat ride to Atata Island about a 15 minute trip from the main island. No filters needed on any of my posts so far from Tonga! Coming into the island you can see how clear and amazing the water looks! I was in awe at how naturally pretty this island is on arrival! There were many activities to do on the Island. We relaxed at the resort waiting for the village tour to commence. The resort employs the villagers and those who are not employed by the resort make traditional tongan mats. They are woven from a plant and then laid out to paint in the village hall. Such a simple life for the people that live on this small island. We walked across the whole island and while standing in the middle you could see the ocean on each side. After the village tour we ate delicious fresh food caught and cooked by the locals. Next up was snorkelling!! We took a boat out to where we would snorkel. The fish and coral were amazing to admire. You can also have a laugh at my fail attempt at a selfie 😂 Atata was one of my fave Islands to visit. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Tonga to come here!! 🌴🐚🐟🐠 #atataisland#tonga#travel#snorkel#village#fish#fresh#natural#amazing#islandlife#visittonga#kingdomoftonga#truetonga#instadaily#holiday#coral#tropical#pretty#boat
