Spent today on one of my solo adventures, driving down the 1 and just stopping at all of the interesting places. Hiked in Big Sur for a bit. It rained hard for a couple of minutes, then completely stopped, and then there was the rainbow.
My favorite days are always those I get to spend in nature, exploring, just taking it all in. Makes me forget about everything else, even if just for a while. I may not have everything, but I have a loving, caring family & some of the best friends you could ever ask for. Days like today remind how blessed I truly am.
Here’s to another year filled with love, happiness, gratitude, and of course, more adventures.
Yesterday I took a step towards overcoming my fear of water 🐠🐚 Fun fact about Sea Lions: Females spend basically their entire lives pregnant. Gestation lasts for about 11 months and females are pregnant when they come ashore to mate again. They give birth, then mate within a couple weeks to prepare for the next season of pups #travel#patagonia#argentina#soloadventures
E A T . . . You can’t go to Scotland and not try their national dish, haggis 🏴 Although it may sound less than appealing (sheep’s heart, liver & lungs minced with onion, oatmeal & spices), make sure you give it a try 🍖🐑 I bet you’ll surprise yourself - it has a nutty, savoury, spicy flavour 🌰🌶 Load up your fork with that, some buttery mashed potato, traditional boiled & mashed ‘neeps’ (turnips) and smother it in a whiskey cream sauce 👅 Delicious!
"A long gone drive, You know the kind where you take a turn and you don't know why. But it clears your mind." Met a four legged friend that wouldn't stay still for a photo. 60% of the plots are infants. #explore#soloadventures
“Nothing happens until something moves” ... literally. Still can’t believe I squeezed my whole life into my Prius and said deuces to Seattle. Colorado has been gorgeous so far but Washington will be my forever home 🏡❤️. Side note - this is actually a picture of California lol #roadtrip#4000miles#soloadventures#biggirlthings#mamaareyouproud
