"Though we gotta say goodbye for the summer
Baby, I promise you this
I'll send you all my love everyday in a letter
Sealed with a kiss"
-Fabolous, Cuffing Season Intro
As I was in a French Rosé 🌹 mood this summer ☀ , Fall's 🍃 flavor has been South African wines of all varietals.
Not only are they flavorful and well-balanced, they are super inexpensive.
So lets talk about this Spier Cabernet Sauvignon.
See, when I say flavorful, I don't mean in terms of strong flavors, because South African wines 🍷 they are usually young in flavor. There's just a bunch of flavors bouncing around your nose 👃and mouth 👄. So on the #boogerbox 👃, I got dark berries, licorice, smoke and some cinnamon.
On the sip, get those instant ripe dark berries and get some dirt flavor and rocks. On the back end is tobacco, oak and a smooth, spicy finish. The flavors aren't big and smothering but noticeable and smooth.
Pair this with a big ol fat juicy steak 🍖! My personal favorite is the ribeye. This would be a match made in heaven. But fatty foods is the way to go here. This wine 🍷 will cut right through it.
In the $10-$15 red wine category, I give this 🏊🏊🏊 out of 5 #swimming guys for whatever reason.
Not too shabby. Check this out or other South African wines.
