Today was tuff! Reminding my self our practise is made up of multiple layer not just the physical, in yoga I believe its referred to as the 8 limbs. Certain thing were getting to me like "Was that good enough?" "Why is that table there!!" "I swear this space has gotten smaller!" U get the idea 😉. Over time I have developed "tools" to help me deal with these negative though patters and be happy with what I have in the hear and now.
Today I pulled out my tool box the classic “add on” game. Usually played in a group were each player adds a move on to a short sequence. Here u see the end sequence my phone and I played.
If find your self in a simalr situation maybe consider a different approch and by all means get in touch I offer one 2 ones at affordable prices. 👣

Viparita Virabhadrasana ...Reverse Warrior Pose works on stretching the side body, groins, hips and legs ; strengthening the hips, quads, arms, shoulders and neck. ..... most vinyasa classes have this asana in transitions during the Virabhadrasana poses or whilst completing the standing / balance sequences. If you hold and stay in this asana though it brings so much release of tension and fatigue. ... Metaphorically ... Reversing oneself from fixed ideas or illusions ! Take a step back to reflect on past mistakes to gain a clearer, clarified path ahead. Ever hear the phrase “ In order to move forward sometimes we need to take a step back “! .... That can really help to heal old wounds that may have not healed itself 100% ! .... Spiritually / Mythology.... this pose is named after the Hindu God Shiva (Virabhadra)... When Shiva released one of his dreadlock hair strands and threw it down to Earth, Virabhadra was created! .... He was born to be a fierce warrior and slay King Daksha. However... after all the slaying Shiva is pulled from anger to complete compassion for King Daksha. This King was Shiva’s beloved Sati’s father ... from rage came violence... which then turned to compassion and a peaceful outcome. The moral of the story is when we feel rage overcoming us.. take a moment to breath, take a step back, retreat....pause .... then respond rather than react. Not easy during these times and will not get any easier anytime soon. That’s the benefit of doing yoga. It teaches us so much more of ourselves and our potential to really charge ahead rather than staying in the doldrum of situations and beliefs! Let the yoga metaphors really come into play for us.. physically and mentally. Aum Namo Shivaya ! .....#shiva#viparitavirabhadrasana#reversewarrior#stepback#onemomentatatime#reflection#chargeahead#metaphors#spiritualprogress#spiritual#vinyasa#yoga#betrue#findyourpath#rage#compassion#iteachyoga#yoganyc#yogatothepeople#dharmayoga#retreat#reversewarriorpose#wowmoment#ephiphany#yogastories#iloveyoga#pastreflections#painfulmemories#strongereveryday#strengthandflexibility
