CPR is booked. Test date is scheduled. And my flashcard game is strong!! I just need a few more weeks to study up and this momma will be ready to go!! I can NOT wait to start helping people with their fitness goals! It's been a dream of mine for a while now and I can't wait for that dream to come true 🎉

💪🏻Being strong for EVERYONE! 💪🏻Being strong is SEXY! 💪🏻Being strong is EMPOWERING! 💪🏻Being strong is BEAUTIFUL! 😐 I used to think “I don’t want to lift heavy weights because I don’t want to look too strong.”... Oh how silly that was! I actually love how I look and feel with toned muscles way better than I did when I was thin and without muscle definition. 🙌🏻😜 Plus... I love knowing that having muscle means I burns more calories!

Fast forward Friday!! Same girl, same show, same 3 weeks out. The difference? Solid hard work and training for a year. I can’t wait to say hello and show off my hard work to my muscle contest family @dodsonics @zhannarotar @tamerelguindy @tkguindy and start representing my future family @bodyuniversity @francinesablan @tweedyj1
I’ve been learning a lot about exercise science and the benefits of both consistency through repetition AND challenging your body through the “unknown”. Both are valuable to a program. The one thing that stays the same is that no matter which technique (or others) that you use in your training, you MUST be consistent. Meaning show up and perform to the best of your ability.

Here’s some tips I use for myself and my clients to create consistency:
🔅what are you working towards? #goals 🔅how can you track that goal?
🔅is there a timeline effecting this goal?
🔅commit to a workout routine (group fitness, personal training, gym time, online videos, home)
🔅schedule workout time into your schedule and/or sign up for classes
🔅do something you enjoy
Hai 💁🏻 I have been somewhat distant from social media, I will have a video soon explaining why! I think my body has been reacting beyond well to the stress, I have been more lax with my food intake and enjoying life as much as I can while still being mindful! It’s important to keep your health in mind when you have some major stressors going on in your life! .
If you’re stressed to the max, your body is not going to recover properly, which can cause your body to hold onto body fat!
You don’t HAVE to train every day to be healthy.
You don’t HAVE to calculate every single gram of food to be healthy.
Listen to your body 🌿

Because what would nationals have been without @genopowerlifting commentary throughout! Also so blessed to have watched my girly @justinaboat crush the platform for her first real meet ❤. I may have had to change my original nationals plans just three week prior to due to injury, but I succeeded the new goal that was made. Finally broke that 400 wilks. I made the best of it, I was even laughing on the platform! I met more amazing strong friends and it will push me to be better every year! Reminiscing on my powerlifting as I'm tackling some other psycho goal for the next three weeks..
When was the last time you THANKED your body? For what it does for you every damn day. I'm blessed to be able to get 7 hours of sleep each night, wake up, drive to the gym, stream my program of choice, and head to a job 💕
I'm thanking my body for pumping blood, for building strength, for simply existing in this world 🌎 None of this has to do with a number on a scale, and taking time to care for your health & wellness will never be a waste of time ☺️ #mindbodysoul
