I work with some of the BEST people!!
Our office is sponsoring Christmas hampers for 3 families in need this year! In order to raise funds to buy groceries and presents for the kids, I organized an auction and my co-workers DELIVERED!!
Tons of prizes were donated and hundreds of tickets were purchased which translates into lots of money to make sure these 3 families have an amazing Christmas!! And this is why I spend all of my free time volunteering and getting my son involved in volunteering! Helping others makes my heart smile 😊
💥HOW TO PREVENT SUGAR CRAVINGS💥
📍Cravings are one of the most common nutritional issues most of us face when trying to lose weight.
📍Fortunately, there are three super easy things you can implement to make sure they aren’t sabotaging your physique transformation – 100% backed by science.
1️⃣ Include protein in every meal
2️⃣ Dont allow yourself to get too hungry
3️⃣ Avoid keeping trigger foods in the home
📍Something worth mentioning is that cravings are normal and there will be instances where you won't be able to prevent them from happening. You have two choices: indulge or distract yourself until it's dissolved.
I love drinking tea from pretty cups and eating pretty little cakes 🍰☕️. I’m about to enjoy high tea for one at home with the help of these delicious @mrkiplingcakes Vanilla Flavour Fancies. They are the perfect accompaniment to my afternoon cup of tea. These cakes can be found at your local Coles and Woolworths supermarkets starting at just $3. Also available in Lemon Slice, Angel Slice, Chocolate Slice and Cherry Bakewell Tart varieties! #mrkiplingaus#ad
Let me tell u a lil something about pineapples... So way back in the dark ages of the European Renaissance, ol boy Colombus came back with some pinapples. Folks went bananas!! (no fruit pun intended) These folks had like minimal access to fruits and barely had access to anything sweet. So they set on a mission to grow pinapples, but they couldn't figure out how for like 2 centuries (don't judge, they didn't have Google y'all) Anyhow, since it was next to impossible to get a pinapple, it became the most luxourious show-off item of the season. So much so, that King Charles II posed with one for his official portrait.
And folks who got their hands on one would even have viewing parties.
Yes, pinapples were the ultimate bling of their day 💎 .
This morning I had to laugh at myself in the mirror. Lol! •
Yes, I have goals.
Yes, I am a health and fitness coach to others.
Yes, I am OBSESSED with eggnog! I can’t get enough of the good stuff 😋
The thing is... since my concussion, I have been far more forgiving of indulging then I would have been 10 years ago. 10 year -ago me would have been bawling in the bathroom about the pudge that encircles my belly. It took years of hard work, dedication and consistency to create a lifestyle that allows me to now shrug it off. •
I KNOW that come the New Year when my eggnog craving subsides and I get back to super clean eating things will change and because of my consistency with my workouts, things will change quickly. The muscle is all there and 2018 it’s gonna shine. This is a season of life and small daily choices are going to move life forward into a new season. The question is, what choices are you making to get to the life you want for yourself? •
I am here to say that I have been the girl who desperately wanted change but didn’t know how to start, had too much pride to ask for help and was absolutely miserable. Eventually, my desire for change was stronger than my limiting beliefs and failure was no longer an option. If that is where you are now, A) Thanks for reading this far and b) I am here for you 💕 Send me a message 💌📥 or Comment below with your favorite emoji and I will reach out to you. •
Drink the eggnog. Love and accept yourself where you are now. Push for a brighter future 🔆
I have been busy baking in the kitchen like Mrs. Claus! These little cuties will be sending jolly wishes from the North Pole this Christmas! #christmascookies#northpole 🎅🤶🌲❄
Some days we just don’t want to, but I practiced what I preach today and committed to a simple 15 minute workout to at least get my heart rate up. This first week back to structure has been great, but challenging in its own ways. I feel like I have less hours in the day, even though I have the same I did before. So it’s finding that new balance, getting my butt out of bed when my alarm goes off and being better at time management. It’ll happen!! Happy fri-yay!
If you live in my world, Christmas came early this year😄 🎄 🎁 ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Yesterday we kicked off our preparations for an 80-day journey we’re taking together in the new year. ➡️➡️➡️We’re getting FOCUSED on a plan to create positive change in our lives, and much like Erin did, above, OBSESSED with creating a better version of ourselves in mind, body and spirit. ✈️We start January 15. Will you join us?? ♥️ Drop the hashtag #ready in comments and I’ll reach out with additional details.
Put aside any self-doubt and SURPRISE YOURSELF in 2018. 😍
DAY 97: Transformation.
Each day that I choose to stay away from my addictive substances I heal and I grow. I am absolutely loving this recovery process. There have been some insanely ugly days, but no ugly day in recovery is nearly as bad of a day as when I am face first in the food. Thank you God. 🙏 I can do this, one day at a time.
If you are new to my account, please join me on my recovery journey. I will be sharing daily posts for my first 100 days of abstinence from my addictive substance - sugar. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Happy Star Wars Day! Avoiding FB today will be good for me. Which means I’m taking a break from scrolling 😂 In all seriousness, after I see the Last Jedi tonight, I promise I will not spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. I love Mark Hamill’s hashtag #MayTheSpoilsRemainInYou
This morning’s workout was a tough one. It focuses on your balance using weights. These workouts are helping my core stay strong to support my bad knees 🙌🏻 It helped having a Star Wars theme outfit too 😉
How do you know when it’s time to break up with a particular food?
You may have a sneaky suspicion that something in your diet isn’t quite sitting well with you. OR perhaps you’re completely unaware and haven’t made the connection that life could be sweeter without a certain ingredient bringing you down. Here is some food for thought:
• You have an allergy or sensitivity to a food. These are quite different reactions; an allergy produces an immune response, whereas a sensitivity shows up usually with issues in digestion. Whether it causes you depression, mood swings, acne, or diarrhea....is that REALLY something you want to keep eating?
• You have a chronic illness or autoimmune disease - there are certain foods that we really need to break up with forever (um...goodbye gluten) due to the effect it has on our gut permeability and wanting our immune system to stay calm.
• Some foods are like “gateway drugs!” By themselves they aren’t inherently evil, but they may turn on sugar cravings or open Pandora’s Box that is better kept with the lid on. I am this way with sunbutter. I can easily find myself fist deep in a new jar and I realized it’s just not worth it. I can buy almond butter and be just fine! I’m also this way with Paleo cookies. I have to be INCREDIBLY mindful because mama likes her cookies, even ones made grain free, dairy free, and refined sugar free. I have a client that realized that cheese was her vice. She’d start eating it and couldn’t stop.
Many people scoff at this, thinking it should be about balance. However, when you’ve identified a food that clearly upsets your body or causes you to binge....how is THAT balanced? We are adults....and have every right to eat anything and everything we want, but does that mean we should in the name of balance?
For me, my definition of balance is enjoying foods that help me to feel my best, sometimes tip toeing to the edge, but not crossing the line which puts me way off kilter, definitely OUT of balance!
So, what say you? Have you identified foods that you know need to be off your repertoire of eating? The ones that aren’t serving you well?
There are going to be days when you look in the mirror and don’t think you see any changes. There will be days that you feel like you are not progressing as quickly as you’d like. These are the days where you need to keep pushing…..keep believing in yourself and stay focused.
It is normal to look at yourself, see no changes and want to give up….that happens to me more than I care to admit, but I don’t. I keep telling myself that no matter how hard things get, or how long it takes me to see results, I WILL NOT QUIT ON ME!!! Why?? Because I BELIEVE I will get there and I TRUST the process and the workout programs that I am fortunate enough to be doing.
Trust and believe in yourselves and you are half way there!
LCHF.
There are times when I ask myself, why do I bother sharing my journey when I hear the objections, the excuses, the lack of motivation........The reason WHY I continue to coach is so I can afford the reasons why I’m so healthy today! Why my knee can handle marathon training. Why I’m financially able to have Callie. Why I’ve stopped being so negative. Why I started going after my big scary goals and making them realities. Too many people say “someday” for the things they want but aren’t willing to work hard to get them.
If I stopped coaching, it would be harder to budget and actually make me in more of a financial mess than I already am 😜 Why would I stop using the products I’ve learned to make part of my daily routine that have saved my health and proven that people with no cartilage in their knee can run a full marathon! It’s also proven that a curvy girl who only drank tons of beer and frozen dinners could sculpt her body and get abs from changing her diet to eating more fruits, veggies, protein, yes still carbs, and healthy fats. Starving myself or taking diet pills hasn’t kept my 2 pant sizes of weight off for 3 years. Consistently eating better has. 🙌🏻Yes anyone can get abs but few will work hard enough to earn them 💪🏻 If I didn’t share how far I’ve come with hard consistent work, I’d be selfish. I don’t want to be known as a selfish person. I want to be known as a reliable person who can help others reach milestones they’ve only dreamed of and didn’t know how to reach and conquer them. I know there are tons of other weight loss options out there.....but let me ask you this: do they all come with easy to follow workout programs that have the largest variety of types of workouts with different celebrity trainers? Do they come with meal plans that walk you through step by step instructions how to make the food? Do they come with a real person 🙋🏻♀️ who can help hold you accountable and call you out when you try to use a lame excuse for not sticking to the plan you agreed to?? Do they come with a community of support and love that make you feel so damn good and help you want to keep going!?!? That’s why I still coach 😊❤️ Anymore questions?
