Arrival views 🌅 this feeling of arrival always gives me goosebumps. That feeling of truly excitement in my stomach when you finally see, where you really are. When you leave the plane and see the first local faces smiling at you. #thankful
An amazing spot in Peru that you can't miss is Paracas! This is at the Paracas National Park, it is the driest desert on Earth, can you believe it? 🏜 ➡ A desert that meets the ocean. It was cold when we arrived, but when you touch the sand it is very hot! The deserts in Peru are all named after the city, Nazca, Paracas, etc. But it's all the same desert, it actually goes all the way and passes into Chile. Which means it is actually the Atacama! Then why is the desert in Peru not called the Atacama? Borders my friend, man-made borders - Just a summary of my awesome amazing tour guide. 🌟Take the tour from Zarcillo Paracas Hotel, the same hotel in the Cruz del Sur bus station. He is knowledgeable and very passionate about this place. This picture is of the Cathedral, it once was an Arch but after an Earthquake it broke and fell into the ocean. One of the worlds Red Beaches is also here!
I've been to this spot a number of times. And I try to be as present in the moment as possible when I'm there. Because even though I know I'll come back again at some point, I know each time it could be years. It's one of those places I long for. It is always hiding somewhere in the back of my mind.
#sokoltakesny
Located in the middle of the mighty Mekong River, Don Det Island has become a hipster haven. Popular with gap year travellers and those looking for a more laid-back vibe. Making it the perfect place for anyone interested in ecotourism or cultural exploration. A lack of modernization in this part of Laos has allowed local communities to remain relatively untouched. For better or worse. While you'll get an authentic experience with local meals, accommodations, and silence, it'll cost you a bit more. Things like internet and transportation can be a bit pricey by Southeast Asia standards and there isn't a lot of variety in things to do on Don Det Island. That aside, you can always count on some beautiful sunsets. Where's your favourite place to get off the grid?
