This new moon brought out everything I don’t need to take to my new house, my new lifestyle or life flow and mindset and last night I laboured in pain and birthed a more balanced me. Libra is a sign of balance so it really was in alignment with the new moon.
When I am in a state of anxiety and ‘freak out’ it’s actually usually a state of ‘normal out’ — what that means is I question every decision I’ve ever made because I’ve never done the ‘normal’ thing, ever and I feel like I should have.
I know that’s not what I want but never compromising on who I am and how I am who I am is extremely hard work at times and when you’re wired to dislike doing things the normal “logical” way life can even feel quite lonely.

Barack Obama // "One of the contributions I thought I could make was to show how I came to terms with these divergent cultures—and that would speak to how we all can live together, finding shared values and common stories. People may look different, talk different, and live in different places, but they've got some core values that they all care about and they all believe in. If you can speak to those values, people will respond—even if you have a funny name."
It was such a wonderful event. Thank you the organizers and participants, the elders, the InUnity Singers, the family members, and of course-the grandmother who started it all. It was an honour to be there today.
Deployment necessities - medication...because it’s really important to NOT get sick and become a patient yourself. This is just a basic bundle that I take with me on deployments. It includes my thyroid meds, multivitamins, probiotics, antimalarial meds, a few sleeping pills just in case, a broad spectrum antibiotic, ibuprofen, an inhaler for asthma/respiratory concerns, and fluconazole (because although its ridiculously rare and I’ll likely never need it, no one wants to have a yeast infection in the field!). I also take oral rehydration salt, water purification tablets and Benadryl (because my face got destroyed by bugs on my last day working in Sierra Leone and Benadryl was the only thing that made me look less like Will Smith’s allergic reaction face in the movie Hitch). I rarely have to use anything that isn’t in my daily pill organizer but you have to be prepared for everything. 👍🏼 #truth#realtalk#packing#life#love#deploymentlife#missionlife#journey#humanitarian#humanitarianaid#reflection#thoughts#mindonamission#preparation#work#worklife#workingmom#wanderlust#travel#bethechange#youthinkyouknow
We believe that God is still moving today the same way he did thousands of years ago. What would it look like if a whole generation stepped out in faith and began praying for eachother? What kind of signs, wonders, healings, and miracles would we see? We as Fire & Fragrance are committed to walking out an unapologetic love for Jesus and those around us. We challenge you to take that step of faith and pray for someone today. #thisisFF •
