Our team recently attended a very interesting presentation by Kilshaw's Auctioneers owner, Alison Ross. We gained a ton of knowledge about what's currently selling, and what isn't. It may not surprise you to learn that many vintage dark wood dinning sets and china cabinets are over available and unpopular. So why are some of us so offended when people paint them? Alison encouraged us to use these items, however we see fit, so long as it adds to our enjoyment of them! She uses her silverware daily and actually eats off her china; then, she cleans them in the dishwasher. 🙌 Photo from my moms very own Happy Nest. I’ve been training/exploring unconventional ‘’patterns’’ for quite sometime but please note I did not start here & recommend you do not try this unless you possess the prerequisites to do so. This is years of progressively overloading my tissue, exploring limiting lines then TRAINING those lines, paired with making sure each articulation can disassociate from one another. This translates to having the ability to express degrees of freedom at any given time. 💪🏻
The reason I do this is to: create tissue resiliency/bulletproofing - find ‘’restrictions’’ then train those restrictions - stress my tissue in all available angles #useitorloseit - create as much #degreesoffreedom to move in any direction - exploration & play
Now before you comment, "This must be bad for your knees" . . . this is perfectly healthy for my knee’s because I posses the PREREQUISITES (Good Active ROM of my Toes/Ankle/Knee/Hip) #FunctionalRangeAssessment Most trainers/humans do not take into consideration; do you possess the PREREQUISITES to perform ‘’x’’ ? #PrepYourSelfBeforeYouWreckYourself There is no such thing as a BAD exercise but there is such a thing of a body that does not posses the PREREQUISITES to execute certain movements.
