Last month, a rideshare driver in Palm Beach rescued and generously agreed to drive an injured gray fox to SFWC for care. Our veterinary team concluded she was hit by a car, but luckily had no serious injuries. Her lacerations were sutured and she was prescribed supportive care, including fluids and pain medication. She was released at a nature preserve five days later. We are also happy to report the rescuer has agreed to be a volunteer driver to help us transport future critical cases in Palm Beach County!
It’s not something you look for.
Have you started thinking about 2018? What do you want to do more of? Less of? Start? Finish? Accomplish? Try? Is improving your health or fitness somewhere on that list? What if this next year, you didn’t make it a resolution? What if you instead, made it a lifestyle? And instead of drastic, sweeping changes or restrictions you simply focused on changing your daily routine? Added at-home workouts, focused more on meal planning and prepping real, whole foods? What if you incorporated more ways to take care of your mind and soul? And what if you did this within a community of positive, empowering women who would help you and cheer you on along the way?
Do you think you would feel differently at the end of 2018 than you do now? I don’t think you would. I KNOW you would.

Cool Azul Pain Cream works by two different mechanisms of action: first menthol binds the TRPM8 receptor and produces a cold sensation. This creates a counter-irritant effect. Basically, your brain gets distracted by the cold and forgets about the pain.
Second: methyl salicylate inhibits an enzyme called cyclooxygenase and therefore reduces the formation of prostaglandins. The body perceives prostaglandins as painful, so reducing them, reduces pain.
The next time someone tells you that essential oil constituents can’t pass through the skin, remind them of this. 🤓
