(Recipe below) This alternative is crispy and can still satisfy your carb craving while being packed with nutrients. Hello, #swoodles ! Easy Sweet Potato Noodles -- Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4
INGREDIENTS: ● 2 medium-sized sweet potatoes ● 1 tbsp Tin Star Ghee ● 1 tsp kosher salt ● 1 tsp Italian seasoning ● ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
INSTRUCTIONS: ● Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F. ● Peel and spiralize both sweet potatoes and remove to a baking sheet. ● Toss the spiralized sweet potatoes with ghee, kosher salt, Italian seasoning, and
cayenne pepper until evenly and completely coated. ● Bake sweet potatoes for 15 minutes, toss, then bake for another 15 minutes. #mealprep#recipes#whole30

Good morning! Here’s a snapshot with of my breakfast bowl situation. Here’s what I’m eating and how I made it:
-Ground beef (93/7 since HEB didn’t have grass fed that day 🤔): seasoned with sea salt and pepper (it doesn’t have to be fancy to be delicious!) Don’t eat meat? Try beans and/or quinoa for your protein source
-Roasted sweet potato and Brussels sprouts with onion (set oven to 400 degrees and brush veggies with avocado oil, sea salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and roast for 40-50 minutes or to your desired done-ness)
-Sautéed mushroom and Swiss chard (heat a pan on the stove and add some cooking oil, like avocado or coconut, and add the mushrooms. Once they start to soften, add in the chopped Swiss chard and sauté until soft. Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper or any seasoning you like)
-Dump Ranch recipe from @whole30 cookbook. Can’t share the recipe because it’s not mine! -Top the bowl with a fried egg or two and voila!
-I also had a pear on the side -

One week down of whole30!! Not gonna lie, these last few days have been hardddd. But, the way I'm feeling is making up for it. No bloating, acne is disappearing very quickly, I have yet to have an anxiety attack (some close calls but nothing over the top!) And I'm over all a happier person. Ive been fighting fatigue (see that cutie behind me? Yea, we're working on this thing called sleep... She still doesn't understand the word.) And because of that, I have been having some pretty bad headaches and burning eyes. But I think I also didnt eat enough protein yesterday so will fix that today. My portions have gone down as well. So overall I'm feeling pretty good! Here's to the next three weeks! 🙌
Also, today is a day of Christmas aprons, christmas music, and house cleaning! With three tinies, always making it interesting 😉❤🍁

You see a pattern here?! 🤦🏼♀️ I COMFORT eat, only it makes me more uncomfortable 😣 if I let it spiral out of control.
I preach balance to my ladies in my group. When you’re 80/20 becomes 40/60 that is a problem....my goal is to feel good, while shedding this baby weight.

Good morning, sunshines 🌞🌞🌞I wanted to talk to you guys this morning about how the #whole30 and #foodfreedom has completely changed my palette for the better! I enjoy food more now, and I never thought I’d be able to say that. As someone with a passion for cooking I thought that it would be impossible for me to make food that tasted good without grains, dairy or sugar. If you’re reluctant to try the Whole30 with thoughts in your head like, ‘Well I just like _______ too much’ or ‘I want to enjoy my food’, I encourage you to put those thoughts away. I felt the same about cheese and – especially – about sugar and here I am now enjoying food more than ever as a sugar-free 🍬🙅🏼 and dairy-free 🥛🙅🏼 individual. In fact, the things I used to douse in sugar – like grapefruit and coffee – are a whole new world of tasty to me. I enjoy experiencing bitter tastes, now. They don’t make me recoil and my lips pucker. I can taste the complexity of the coffee (this morning I enjoyed a pumpkin spice bulletproof coffee) ☕️ and the sweetness hidden within the grapefruit 🍊. I enjoy every meal more than I ever have and that’s just the beginning of the many benefits the Whole30 and Food Freedom have brought me.

Today's #desklunch is an exercise in cleaning out the freezer- Hot dog chili. I've always been a fan of chili dogs (I mean, who isn't?) so I decided to cut out the bread-y middle man and just add the dogs straight to the chili. Grass fed dogs+grass fed beef (1-2 lb from my freezer) and voila! I also really love sour cream with chili, so I'm going to give guac a try instead and see. Finally, some almonds for a snack and of course a sparkling water 😀

My newest obsession ... @perfectbar ! A non-GMO gluten free bar with complex carbs, protein and 20 super foods! I’m addicted as you can see by the amount in my cart! And the flavors... to die for! I found these at Whole Foods in the fridge section. 🛒
A question I get asked a lot is when do I eat these? I personally watch my sugar/carb intake and eat after my workouts. It’s what works best for me and my body composition. 💃🏻 You do what’s best for you! 😘
Negativity is all around us. Sometimes, we don’t see it around us because so much of it is in our brains. The self talk turns into self doubt and pressure. I know that I am my biggest critic and I can point out my flaws and issues so easily. But this #tiucommunity has taught me that my health journey isn’t about loosing weight, getting fit or eating right; it’s about learning to love yourself and leaning on community when you are struggling with loving yourself. •

Woke up happy to feel that there is still a chill in the air. It's one of those days where we are excited to get started, and have a pep in our steps.
Breakfast was basic, but perfect before heading to the @amaymca.
Anyone out there have experience with #adrenalfatigue and exercise? I know I'm supposed to avoid high intensity workouts, but that's all I really do... 😬(perhaps that's one of the myriad of reasons I'm here) I know Yoga is ideal, but most classes available are far away, or don't have child care for the times when I have the kids. I'd love to hear any of your experiences!

Accountability!! That is my #1 reason for always posting about my workouts.
In the past I stopped for a little while (I let those haters get to my head), and it turned out that I had people who looked foward to my daily workout motivation.
I also need to hold myself accountable in order to stay consistent in my journey and with my goals.
Accountability is the only reason I have gotten as far as I have.
If you struggle with being consistent
If you struggle with keeping your self going after the "honeymoon period" has worn off
If you struggle with not knowing which way to go
If you struggle with not knowing about how to properly fuel your body
You NEED Accountablity
You NEED a group of women (and men sometimes)
who are going through the same process as you
I'm telling you guys, this has been the #1 player in my success so far!! I'm here for you!

Whole 30 Day 17: Meal 1 // Fried eggs with avocado, greens, and tomato. We also shared a banana with almond butter. Do your breakfasts contain protein, vegetables, and healthy fat? Breakfasts that include these things have been a game changer for us. We're full until lunch, and we have plenty of energy to get through the morning. Plus a little extra time in the morning with my other half is nice! 🍳🥑
I was listening to a podcast this morning that said “in order to be a high performer, you have to crush your mornings.” I had never really thought about it that way, but getting up and immediately checking your phone & not even giving yourself time to wake up probably isn’t the nicest way to start the day. So I’m going to work on that. Giving myself time in the mornings to set my goals, attitude, and plans for the day. Setting a goal for the first 30 minutes of my day! Because I know I want to be a high performer (at least some of the time 😂😜) Happy Tuesday! We’re almost to the half way point 😂
I used yesterday's Instant Pot spaghetti squash to make this caramelized onion spaghetti squash casserole from Joy of Kosher. It was really good, and we have plenty of leftovers for lunch! I added shredded chicken for extra protein.
