So yesterday didn't go entirely as planned.
I weighed in extremely light at 101.9kg.
I missed my first 2 squats on technicalities, I did the squat I just didn't wait for the start command. Strength was there but unfortunately due to excitement and lack of experience I just didn't wait for the call. This meant I had to do a safety weight to make sure I actually got a squat in so no PB there.
My head dropped straight away for bench and I couldn't get myself going. Luckily I had my number one fan @jesslcookx there and after a few minutes of her telling me to stop being a pussy I managed to pick back up.
Went out strong and pulled a big 282.5kg deadlift. New pb 🏋️ Despite all this I still finished 10th in Britain out of a strong category of 15 with a total of 660kg, 17.25kg more than the last comp!! 🏆
Can't knock it considering I jumped straight to the nationals for my second comp. A fish out of water 🐟
6 weeks to rebuild and refocus ready for the Westmidlands Championships. I know the power is there now, time to sort out my competition standards
