What better way to wake up than with #trianglepose ?#Trikonasana stretches the hips, groins, hamstrings, and calves; shoulders, chest, and spine. Feels so good to bless our bodies with practice before sunrise.
We focus so much on the #alignment of our chest, legs and arms... but what about the subtleties of the positioning of the head? Full expression has you staring at the sky, but here's our #tuesdaytip to work your way toward full expression:
Turning your head in triangle pose should create no extra tension. Find and maintain an imaginary axis—from the center of your face down to the center of your sternum—and then turn your head to look up toward your hand. Minus a preexisting injury to your cervical spine, the more you practice, the easier it will get.

“Be free to love & receive love responsibly” 101 years ago, on 10/16/1916 in New York City, she organized the first birth control clinic (which led to her arrest for distributing information on contraception after an undercover policewoman bought a copy of her pamphlet on family planning)
staffed by all-female doctors, as well as a clinic in Harlem with an all African-American advisory council, where African-American staff were later added. She dared to challenge the Catholic’s beliefs that birth control violated the natural law of marriage. Sanger felt that in order for women to have a more equal footing in society and to lead healthier lives, they needed to be able to determine when to bear children. She wanted to prevent so-called back-alley abortions, which were common at the time. She was prosecuted for her book Family Limitation under the Comstock Act in 1914. She was afraid of what would happen, so she fled to Britain until she knew it was safe to return to the US. Due to her connection with Planned Parenthood Sanger is a frequent target of criticism by opponents of abortion, although Planned Parenthood did not begin providing abortions until 1970, after Sanger had already died.
